Jesus Walks with Us

In connection with their 175th Anniversary, the Diocese of Buffalo has requested that every parish put their faith into action and help to shape the communities in which we live to reflect the Kingdom of God. To Serve each other, especially those in need, is to serve Christ. There will be a Diocesan-wide day of service on October 22nd (although each parish may choose their own day).

St. Max will participate in the Day of Service by having a “team” that will walk in the Hunger Walk sponsored by the Corfu United Presbyterian Church on August 27th which will benefit our community through donations used at the Corfu Food Pantry and Pembroke School Bagged Lunch Program. If you would like to be a part of our team sign up with Sue at the parish office.  If you sign up before August 14th and commit to donating at least $20, you will receive a “St. Max Parish – Jesus Walks With Us” t-shirt to wear on the day of the walk.

Feeding the hungry is one of the seven Corporal Works of Mercy, which provide a model for how we should treat our neighbors. This is your opportunity to love your neighbor by helping your community, have some fun with friends and make new ones!
