This weekend we will be having a short social after all of our masses to welcome our new Parochial Vicar, Rev. Patryk Sobczyk. We hope you can take a few minutes after Mass to say hello and make Fr. Patryk feel welcome at St. Max.

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Fr. Patryk Sobczyk, your new assistant in Alden, Corfu, and E. Pembroke. I was born in Poland (not far from Gdansk). I finished all my education (Elementary and High School, and then a Seminary) in Poland. I graduated in theology in 2009, receiving a Master of Theology degree. In 2013 I arrived in the US to begin my education in Michigan for two years. Then I was accepted to Christ the King Seminary in E. Aurora to continue my master degree. I graduated at CKS in 2019 receiving a Master of Art in Pastoral Ministry. On June 1, 2019 I was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo. I was assigned before to Holy Family parish in Albion and then to St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrow in Elma.

I’m very happy to be here and to work with Fr. Dan in sharing our priestly ministry with all of you. I hope to have an opportunity to meet all of you as I begin my ministry in our parish communities.

God Bless ~ Fr. Patryk
