Please keep our young missionaries in your prayers this week as they travel to Newark, New Jersey for a week long Mission Trip.

Joey Neth, along with Jack Conti, Steven Drozdiel and Alec Skeet will be representing St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in the Young Neighbors in Action Program. They will be joined by about 30 other teenagers from across the country. This program features a solid, Catholic approach that balances Scripture and Catholic social teaching through direct service. They will experience how poverty and a lack of respect for human dignity impact the lives of real people.  They will be working with Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson and could be doing yard work for ill and needy families; landscaping at shelters or in community gardens; neighborhood clean-up; minor home repairs; working with Habitat for Humanity; cooking and serving meals in soup kitchens; working with food banks and clothing shops.

Watch the parish Facebook page for updates on what they are doing and who they are serving!
