SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PROGRAM

December 2017 – September 2018

Dear St. Maximilian Kolbe Parishioner:

On December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we shall begin our Annual Spiritual Adoption Program. Enclosed is a registration slip for you and all members of your family. We urge you to decide to commit at least 10 seconds a day to pray for a baby, unknown to you but known to God, who is in danger of abortion. If you have children, please also encourage them to adopt a pre-born child. After making a positive decision:

  • Complete the registration slip below by giving your spiritually adopted baby a name and indicate the names of the people in your family who will participate in praying for the baby/babies that you named.
  • Return the attached registration slip in the collection basket. The Spiritual Adoption Prayer is below. Keep it someplace where you will remember to pray it each day.
  • We will trust our spiritual mother, Blessed Mary, to assign the child for each person who has named a baby and will commit themselves to the daily prayer for the 9 month period.
  • Please remember all the pre-born children when you visit our “Memorial to the Unborn” at the East Pembroke Site (north back side of church).

In September 2018, on Mary’s birthday, we will celebrate the new life of our babies with our annual Parish Baby Shower.  Proceeds from the baby shower will be donated to All Babies Cherished Pregnancy Assistance Center.

Please know that by our call to faith your daily prayer will give the parents of your spiritually adopted baby the spiritual help they need to keep their baby safe, strong, and healthy.  Your action to prayer will also be a great gift of love to Mary, the spiritual mother of us all.

Fr. Dan and the St. Maximilian Kolbe Celebrate Life Committee

Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you very much.

I beg you to spare the life of the unborn child

that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger

of abortion.
