The Corfu United Presbyterian Church would like to thank you so very much for your continued support of the Corfu Community Food Pantry located at their church. Your generous contributions make it possible for them to provide food and other essential goods to a monthly average of 19 adults, 6 seniors and 13 children.

The Food Pantry is open the third Saturday of each month from 9AM-10AM, or until all have been served. They also operate on an emergency basis when there is a need. They invite anyone who wishes to be involved in the food distribution to join them on the third Saturday of the month at 9AM. Also, if you know of a person or family in need, please refer them to the Food Pantry at (585) 599-6414.

Because of the increased need in our community, they are working to expand the food pantry. They have applied for grants which will enable them to begin a new mission to the children of our community. You have probably heard of “Backpack Projects” in other communities where students in need of food assistance are provided with food for themselves during weekends throughout the school year. Pembroke does not have this program, so through their Food Pantry Task Force, they are hoping to establish the program here in the Pembroke Central School District. This is one more instance where your continued support will help our community.

As you can see, the needs of our community are great, but you are helping to make a difference! Thank you for joining with the Corfu United Presbyterian Church in this wonderful community outreach.
