On Monday, June 19th we will welcome Fr. Dan Serbicki, our newly appointed Pastor, to St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
Fr Dan grew up in Holley, New York, not too far from here. He is the oldest of five, having two brothers and two sisters. After being homeschooled through high school, he attended Franciscan University, Steubenville, Ohio, He graduated in 2006 with a double major in philosophy and theology and a minor in Franciscan studies. He spent a life changing semester in Austria, traveling to Lourdes, Ars and Rome, and went on mission trips to Chicago and Turtle Mountain Indian reservation.
He attended Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora and was ordained in 2011.
Fr. Dan spent three years as Parochial Vicar at Queen of Heaven in West Seneca and three years as Parochial Vicar in Wellsville, at the Catholic Communities of South Eastern Allegany County before joining us at St. Max.
His hobbies include computers, computer repair, hiking and home repair. Also note, he is gluten free!
We hope you will be able to attend Solemn Vespers on Friday, June 16th at 7PM at our East Pembroke Site to meet Fr. Dan, welcome him to our parish and pray with him and Fr. John for God’s blessings on our parish and our new pastor.
Please come a little early at 6:30 pm so you can experience a deeper understanding of Solemn Vespers (Evening Prayer) as part of the Liturgy of the Hours, a beautiful and spiritually meaningful prayer liturgy in our Catholic Faith Tradition.
